My take on Cobri

The problem is embarrassingly real: someone wants to pay you and you have to ask "how do you pay?" and then go back and forth until you find the one app you both have. It's a terrible experience every freelancer and creator knows well. Cobri fixes it with one link that shows all your payment options -- Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, crypto, Cafecito, whatever you use.

What I like about the positioning is what Cobri doesn't do. It never processes your money. It just points people to where you already receive payments. That's a feature, not a limitation. No new account to trust with your money, no fees, no weird holds. For anyone who's gotten nervous about a fintech startup touching their funds, "we never process payments" is the most reassuring thing you can say.

The "free forever" play is smart here because the audience they're targeting -- freelancers, creators, indie makers -- is fee-allergic. If the product helps them get paid and costs them nothing, the adoption friction is basically zero. The growth path is word-of-mouth from every payment link someone sends.

Every freelancer has been here: Client: "How do I pay you?" You: "Venmo?" Client: "I don't have that. PayPal?" You: "Sure. Here's my link." Client: "Can you do Cash App?" Cobri: one link. All your payment methods. cobri.link

You have 6 ways to accept payments. Your clients have 1 app they actually use. Getting paid shouldn't require a 5-message DM thread. Cobri shows all your payment options on one page. Free forever. cobri.link

Cobri never touches your money. It just shows people where to send it. No new account to trust. No fees. No holds. One link. All your ways to get paid. cobri.link

Built Cobri because the "how do you want to get paid?" conversation was taking longer than the actual work. One page. Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, crypto, Cafecito -- whatever you use. Free forever. cobri.link

Amateurs send one payment link and hope the client has the app. Professionals send a Cobri link and let the client pick. Free forever. cobri.link
