My take on Scrumpy

The origin story is the entire pitch and Scrumpy should lean on it harder: the founder got tired of paying Jira and Linear just to manage a simple backlog, so he built the tool he actually wanted. Every developer who's ever lost an afternoon configuring a Jira workflow feels that in their bones. The product is the antidote — every lane visible on one screen, no horizontal scrolling, productive on day one instead of day ten. That "day one vs day ten" line is already a tweet.

The detail I'd put real Twitter energy behind is the smart notifications. Most tools blast you for every status change until you mute the whole thing and miss the one update that mattered. Scrumpy only pings you on mentions and assignments. That's a tiny feature with an outsized emotional payoff, and devs share posts that name a pain they've quietly suffered for years. Same with full JSON export and no lock-in — "your data is yours, leave whenever" lands with anyone who's been held hostage by a PM tool's export wall.

The pricing is the closer. Flat $9/user/month, all features included, no "contact sales for the Business tier" nonsense. A 5-person team runs $37.50/month on annual. Compared to what Jira costs once you actually need the features you're paying for, that's an easy switch to make on X. Lead with the simplicity, back it with the price, and let the single-screen board demo itself in a screen recording.

I got tired of paying Jira just to manage a simple backlog. So someone finally built the alternative. Scrumpy: every lane on one screen, real-time sync, no horizontal scrolling, no consultant setup. $9/user/mo. 7-day trial, no card. scrumpy.it

Most project tools take 10 days and a training session before your team is productive. Scrumpy takes one screen and one afternoon. Backlog, sprints, epics, burnup charts. All visible, no scrolling, no config rabbit holes. scrumpy.it

The most underrated feature in any team tool: notifications that shut up. Scrumpy only pings you on mentions and assignments. Not every status change. You stop muting it. You stop missing the updates that matter. scrumpy.it

Built a scrum tool because Jira and Linear got too complicated and too expensive for what most teams actually need. Flat $9/user/mo. Every feature included. No "Business tier." Unlimited teams, sprints, history. Full JSON export, no lock-in. scrumpy.it

Your PM tool shouldn't hold your data hostage. Scrumpy: export everything as JSON, cancel anytime, EU-hosted and GDPR-compliant. Plus free view-only seats for unlimited observers. The tool you'd build if you were tired of the alternatives. scrumpy.it
