My take on SheetLink

SheetLink's actual story is buried on the landing page. It's not "bank transactions in Google Sheets" — it's that your financial data never touches their servers. Zero transaction storage. No background access. You click sync, you get your data, the connection goes quiet. In an era where every fintech startup wants to be the permanent middleman for your money, that's a genuinely different stance and it's barely being talked about.

The Claude MCP angle is where I'd put all my Twitter energy. "Ask Claude what you spent on food last month, against your real bank data, not estimates" — that's a 10-second demo that writes itself. Record it, post it, watch finance Twitter lose their minds. That one piece of content will do more than six months of feature tweets.

$4.99/mo is almost too cheap given the Plaid infrastructure underneath. The MAX tier with CLI + Postgres export is what power users will actually talk about. Lead with the privacy story, but don't hide the horsepower.

Your bank app shows you transactions. It doesn't let you filter, analyze, or automate anything. SheetLink syncs your real bank data to Google Sheets — all 30+ fields. Merchant, category, location, memo, everything. One click. Nothing runs in the background. sheetlink.app

You can now ask Claude: "What did I spend on food last month?" Against your real bank data. Not estimates. Not categories. Actual transactions. SheetLink pipes your bank into Claude via MCP. Same Plaid infrastructure as Venmo. $4.99/mo.

What if your Google Sheet automatically showed: — spend by merchant — cash flow by week — one-click P&L All from your real bank data. SheetLink connects 11,000+ banks. Nothing stored on their servers. You click sync, you get data.

Most personal finance apps track your money. None of them let you own it. SheetLink sends your transactions to Google Sheets, Excel, Postgres, or CSV — 30+ fields, full control. No background access. No stored data. Pro: $4.99/mo. MAX (CLI + API): $10.99/mo.

Personal finance apps have failed us. They track. They chart. They don't let you do anything. SheetLink pipes real bank transactions into a spreadsheet you control. Power users: there's a CLI, API, and Postgres export. Free for 7 days. sheetlink.app
