How to Schedule Tweets in OpenTweet
Last updated: April 10, 2026
Scheduling tweets is OpenTweet's core feature. Write your tweet, pick a time, and it publishes automatically — no need to be at your computer when it goes live.
How do I set the right timezone for scheduling?
OpenTweet uses the timezone set in your Settings. Your timezone is auto-detected from your browser when you first sign up. Check Settings → Timezone to confirm it's correct. If you travel or post for a global audience, you can change your timezone manually. All scheduled times display in your configured timezone.
What are the daily scheduling limits?
Daily limits depend on your plan: Pro allows 20 scheduled tweets per day, Advanced allows 100, and Agency allows 300. These limits align with X API rate policies. If you need to schedule more than your daily limit, queue the remaining tweets for following days. Limits reset at midnight in your timezone.
How do I post a tweet immediately instead of scheduling?
In the composer, click "Post Now" instead of selecting a schedule time. This publishes immediately to X. You can also find any scheduled tweet in the queue and click "Post Now" from the quick actions menu to publish it ahead of its scheduled time.
What happens to scheduled tweets if my X account disconnects?
If your X account disconnects (expired OAuth token), scheduled tweets fail to post and move to the "Failed" tab. Reconnect your X account in Settings → X Account, then republish failed tweets from the Failed tab. Reconnecting restores all future scheduled posts automatically.
