Using the OpenTweet Visual Calendar
Last updated: April 10, 2026
The OpenTweet visual calendar gives you a bird's-eye view of your entire content schedule. Instead of a flat list, you see your tweets spread across days and hours, making it easy to spot gaps and ensure consistent posting.
What is the weekly vs monthly calendar view?
The weekly view displays all 7 days with hourly time slots — ideal for detailed daily planning where you want to see exactly when each tweet posts and avoid over-scheduling certain hours. The monthly view shows the entire month with tweet counts per day — best for spotting content gaps across weeks and checking overall posting consistency at a glance.
How do I schedule a tweet from the calendar?
Click any empty time slot in the calendar. The tweet composer opens pre-filled with that date and time. Write your tweet and click Schedule. The new tweet appears in the calendar slot immediately. This is faster than using the dashboard composer when you want to fill a specific gap in your schedule.
How does drag-and-drop rescheduling work?
In the weekly calendar view, click and hold any scheduled tweet card, then drag it to a different time slot or day. Release to drop it. The tweet's scheduled time updates instantly — no need to open the editor. This is the fastest way to rearrange your content schedule when plans change.
Does the calendar show multiple X accounts?
Yes. If you have multiple X accounts connected, the calendar color-codes each account's tweets with a distinct color. A legend shows which color corresponds to which account. Use the account filter to show only one account's calendar at a time, or view all accounts together to see the full picture across your portfolio.
