How to set up the OpenTweet Telegram bot to post on X

How do I set up the OpenTweet Telegram bot?
Four steps. You only do them once.

Connect X, LinkedIn or Bluesky
In OpenTweet, open Settings, then Accounts, and connect your X (Twitter) account. Add LinkedIn and Bluesky too if you want the bot to post there. No API keys or developer account needed.

Connect Telegram
Open Settings, then the Telegram tab, and tap Connect Telegram. Telegram opens a chat with @OpenTweetBot. Tap Start. The bot replies "You are connected" with your X handle. The connect link works for 15 minutes.

Send your first idea
Type what you want to post, for example "Write 3 posts about our new pricing", or send a voice note or a photo. The bot writes the drafts in your voice. Tap Schedule, Post now or Save as draft under the one you like.
What can I send the OpenTweet Telegram bot?
Talk to it like a teammate. The bot reads text, voice notes and photos, and it knows your OpenTweet account: your voice, your queue and how your posts perform.

Every draft arrives as a card with Schedule, Post now and Save as draft buttons. Nothing goes out until you tap one or tell the bot to post it now. To change a draft, just say so: "shorter", "less formal", "turn it into a thread".
Post to X, LinkedIn and Bluesky from one Telegram chat
If you connected more than one network, each draft shows a toggle per network: X, LinkedIn and Bluesky. Say "post this to LinkedIn only" and the bot sets them for you. With no instruction, it follows your auto cross-post setting in OpenTweet.
Each network gets a version that fits. The bot writes a longer LinkedIn version, keeps Bluesky under 300 characters, and checks X's limit for your account. Already posted to X? Say "also post it to LinkedIn" and it adds LinkedIn to the live post, with the same photos, instead of posting a duplicate.
After a post goes out, the bot replies with a link per network. It also messages you when a scheduled post goes live or fails, with a button to try again.

You rarely need them. Plain messages do the same work.

Yes. Connect @OpenTweetBot to your OpenTweet account, send it what you want to say, and tap Post now or Schedule under the draft. OpenTweet publishes to X through its official API. You do not need an X developer account or API keys.
Is there a Telegram bot that writes tweets with AI?

Can I review the post before it goes out?
Yes. Every draft waits for you to tap Schedule, Post now or Save as draft. The bot only publishes without a tap when you explicitly tell it to post right now, and a scheduled post has an Undo button.

The bot never sees your X password. Your X account connects to OpenTweet through X's official sign-in, and Telegram links to OpenTweet with a one-time code that expires after 15 minutes. One Telegram chat links to one OpenTweet account, and /disconnect unlinks it at any time.
