Bluesky Giveaway Picker
This free Bluesky giveaway picker draws random winners from the likes, reposts, replies and quote posts of any Bluesky post. No copying handles by hand.
How to pick a Bluesky giveaway winner
Paste your Bluesky post link, choose who qualifies (likes, reposts, replies), and the picker fetches entrants from Bluesky's public API and draws random winners. No login needed.
How the entry rules work
| Setting | Who can win |
|---|---|
| Nothing ticked | Anyone who liked, reposted, replied or quoted the post. Each person counts once. |
| Must have liked | Only accounts in the post likes list. |
| Liked AND reposted | Only accounts that did both. Ticked rules combine with AND. |
| Must have replied | Direct replies to the post. Replies to other replies do not count. |
| Must have quoted | Accounts that shared the post as a quote post. |
| Exclude handles | Remove yourself, teammates, co-hosts or past winners before the draw. |
Run a fair Bluesky giveaway
Write the entry rules and the closing time in the giveaway post itself, then draw after it closes. Post the copied results, which list the rules, how many entrants were fetched and the time of the draw, so anyone can see how the winners were chosen.Where the entrants come from
Bluesky makes likes, reposts and replies public, so this Bluesky raffle picker can read them without a login. It calls Bluesky's public API from your browser: getLikes, getRepostedBy and getQuotes page through the lists 100 at a time, and getPostThread returns the direct replies.
Entrants are matched by DID, the permanent account ID, so a person who changed their handle during the giveaway still counts once. The minimum follower check uses getProfiles and only runs on the people drawn.

Bluesky Giveaway Picker FAQ
How do I pick a random winner for a Bluesky giveaway?
Paste the link to your giveaway post, tick what entrants must have done (liked, reposted, replied, quoted), set the number of winners and click Pick winners. The picker fetches every entrant from Bluesky, removes duplicates and the accounts you exclude, and draws at random. Copy the results to share them with your audience.
Do I need to log in or connect my Bluesky account?
No. Likes, reposts, replies and quote posts are public on Bluesky, and the picker reads them from Bluesky's public API (public.api.bsky.app) straight from your browser. Nothing is posted and no account is connected.
Is the draw really random?
Yes. Entrants are shuffled with a Fisher-Yates shuffle driven by your browser's crypto.getRandomValues, with rejection sampling so every eligible entrant has the same chance. Each person counts once no matter how many times they liked, replied or reposted, because entries are deduplicated by their Bluesky DID.
Can I use it as a Bluesky comment picker?
Yes. Tick "Must have replied" and only people who replied directly to your post are eligible. Replies to replies are not counted. On very busy posts Bluesky returns only part of the reply list in one thread request, so the picker shows how many replies it fetched next to the count Bluesky reports.
How many entrants can it handle?
Likes, reposts and quote posts are fetched 100 at a time, up to 20 pages, so up to 2,000 entrants per source. If a post has more, the picker tells you the list was capped.
How does the minimum follower rule work?
It is off by default. When you turn it on, the picker looks up the follower count of drawn candidates only, in the random order, and skips anyone below your minimum until it has enough winners. Skipped entrants are counted in the copied results so the draw stays transparent.
Is there a picker for X (Twitter) giveaways too?
Yes. The Twitter Giveaway Picker draws winners from a list of handles you paste in. It does not fetch from X, because reading X data costs money through the X API.
