Upload-Post's X Links guide says it "strips every URL from posts published to X", to avoid X's fee on posts with a URL. Why does Upload-Post remove links from my X posts?
Its docs say it "strips every URL from posts published to X" by default, because X bills about $0.20 for a post with a URL against $0.015 without one. To keep links you need the X Links add-on. Without it, the API response carries a warnings array.
How much is the Upload-Post X Links add-on?
$19 a month, or 18 euros, billed monthly only, and it needs a paid plan. It includes 50 link posts a month, shared across all your X profiles. With Basic, that is $43 a month on monthly billing, or $35 with Basic billed yearly.
What happens after 50 link posts on Upload-Post?
The docs say behavior "reverts to the default": URLs are stripped from any further X posts until the next billing cycle. The post still publishes, without its link. A reply or edit whose text was only links is refused with a 400 error.
Is OpenTweet cheaper than Upload-Post?
