Can the Agorapulse MCP server post to X?
No. The Agorapulse MCP server, launched on October 29, 2026, lets Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot Studio write drafts, but it has no publish action. Drafts wait in Agorapulse until a person publishes them, and scheduling from the assistant is only announced so far.
That is a deliberate choice for teams with approval rules. If you want an assistant that can schedule and publish to X on its own, you need an MCP server with those tools. Facts below come from Agorapulse's launch post and pricing page, read November 2, 2026.
The Agorapulse MCP server in one table
What your assistant can do, task by task
Agorapulse is built around a team inbox, listening and reports, and its MCP server reflects that. OpenTweet is built around publishing. Here is each task side by side.
"Announced" means Agorapulse said it is coming "in the coming days" on October 29. "Not stated" means the launch post does not mention it. We will update this table when Agorapulse ships scheduling.
Drafts only, schedule, or publish: which do you want?
- Drafts only (Agorapulse today): the assistant writes, a person publishes. Safest, but nothing goes out on time if nobody is there.
- Schedule: the assistant fills the queue for the week. You can edit or delete each post before its time, and it publishes without you. This is the setup most people want.
- Publish now: for agents that react to events, like a news feed or a product launch. Use it with clear instructions about when to post.
You can keep both
If your team uses Agorapulse for the inbox and reports, you can keep it for that and add a second connector for posting to X. Claude and ChatGPT can use more than one connector in the same chat.Let Claude or ChatGPT publish to X (3 minutes)
- Start an OpenTweet account and connect your X account (and LinkedIn or Bluesky if you want them).
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. In ChatGPT, MCP write actions need Developer Mode (Business, Enterprise and Edu); on Plus, use a Custom GPT instead.
- Paste the URL below and sign in to OpenTweet when the window opens.
https://mcp.opentweet.io/mcpThe assistant gets 43 tools, including opentweet_create_tweet (draft), opentweet_schedule_tweet, opentweet_publish_tweet and opentweet_create_thread. No X developer account and no per-post fee.
Start with drafts
Ask first: "Save three drafts about our launch in OpenTweet, do not schedule them." Check them in the queue, then let it schedule. That gives you the same review step Agorapulse enforces, with the option to drop it later.7-day free trial with a few limits, or pay now for full limits.

Frequently asked questions
Can the Agorapulse MCP server post to X?
No, not as of November 2, 2026. Agorapulse says its MCP server creates drafts that "land in Agorapulse, where the team reviews them before anything goes live", and that it "chose not to give their AI assistants a 'publish now' action". A person still publishes from Agorapulse.
Can it schedule posts?
Not yet. The October 29 launch post says that "in the coming days" the server will let teams schedule, edit and delete posts from their AI assistant. Until that ships, the assistant can only draft.
What can the Agorapulse MCP server do?
Read reports, listening insights and inbox summaries; write post drafts for each profile; and prepare inbox replies that go out once the user confirms or a manager approves them.
Which AI assistants does it work with?
Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot Studio. Agorapulse says you need a paid AI plan: Claude Pro or above, ChatGPT Go or above, or Copilot Studio. It is listed in the Claude connector directory, and each person signs in with their own Agorapulse login.
Does it cost extra?
Agorapulse says the MCP server is available to all subscribers. Agorapulse itself is $79 to $199 per user a month (annual billing), and publishing to X needs an X Lite or X Plus add-on whose price is on request. The launch post does not say whether X drafts need that add-on.
Is a drafts-only MCP server safer?
It removes the risk of an assistant publishing by mistake, which suits teams with approval rules. The cost is that nothing posts on time unless a person is there. A middle ground is an MCP server that can schedule: the assistant fills the queue, you can edit or delete each post before its time, and it publishes without you.
Which MCP server can publish to X today?
OpenTweet's hosted server at https://mcp.opentweet.io/mcp has 43 tools, including draft, schedule, publish and thread tools for X, plus LinkedIn and Bluesky. It signs in with OAuth in Claude and ChatGPT, needs no X developer account, and starts at $19.99 a month.
