How to Save and Organize Tweet Inspirations

Last updated: April 17, 2026

Build a library of saved tweets from search, the Chrome extension, or manual entry. Filter and organize by source.

Your OpenTweet Inspiration library is a permanent collection of tweets you've saved for reference and repurposing. Tweets flow in from three sources: search results, the Chrome extension, and manual entry. Filter and organize your collection using source-based filter chips.

Quick Answer: The Inspiration library stores tweets you've saved from search, the Chrome extension, or manual entry. Use filter chips (All, Search, Bookmarked, From Extension) to organize your collection. Select multiple tweets for bulk repurposing or deletion.

What are the sources for saved inspirations?

Inspirations can come from three sources: Search (tweets found using OpenTweet's built-in search feature), Chrome Extension (tweets saved while browsing X using the extension's save button), and Manual (tweets added manually by pasting text). Each saved tweet displays its source as a label on the card.

How do I organize my library?

Use the filter chips at the top of the Inspiration page: All (shows everything), Search (tweets found via search), Bookmarked (tweets you've prioritized with the bookmark icon), and From Extension (tweets saved while browsing X). The bookmark icon on any saved tweet card lets you mark specific tweets for quick access via the Bookmarked filter.

What bulk actions are available?

Check the boxes on multiple tweet cards to select them. A bulk action bar appears at the bottom with options to repurpose selected tweets with AI (up to 10 at once) or delete selected tweets from your library. Deletion is permanent but only removes tweets from your library — the original tweets on X are unaffected.

How does deduplication work?

OpenTweet automatically prevents duplicate saved inspirations. Tweets are matched by their unique tweet ID. If you attempt to save a tweet that already exists in your library (whether saved via search, extension, or manually), OpenTweet will not create a second copy. You'll receive a notification that the tweet is already saved.
