Does X Premium Business include API access?
No. X Premium Business, Basic at $200 a month or Full Access at $1,000 a month, gives your organization a gold checkmark, X Premium+, Hiring, Radar and ad credits. It does not include X API access, API credits, a developer account, or any way to schedule in bulk or post from your own software. The X API is billed separately, per request.
Facts below come from X's Premium Business help page (its latest archived copy, September 23, 2026; the live page blocks automated reads) and Greenhouse's X Hiring article, read November 3, 2026. X says prices vary by region and can change, so check the page before you buy.
Basic vs Full Access, feature by feature
US list prices before tax. Organizations only: X reviews every signup, accepts credit cards only, and does not refund personal accounts that sign up.
What you still pay to automate a business account
A gold checkmark does not change how posting from software works. To post from your website, your product, a feed or an AI agent, you need one of two things on top of Premium Business:
- Your own X developer app. The X API is pay-per-use: about $0.015 per post and $0.20 per post that contains a link, plus reads, billed to the developer account. You also build and run the posting code, token refresh and retries yourself. See the full X API price table.
- A posting tool with its own API. OpenTweet connects your X accounts with a normal login, so there is no developer app to set up, and every plan includes a REST API, an MCP server with 43 tools for AI agents, RSS connectors and scheduling at a flat price.
Example: 10 posts a day, each with a link
On the X API that is about 300 link posts a month at $0.20, so roughly $60 a month in API fees on top of Premium Business, plus your own code. On OpenTweet Advanced ($29 a month) 10 link posts a day are included, across up to 3 X accounts.Full Access affiliates are separate X accounts. If you want your brand, support and product handles posting on a schedule, OpenTweet Agency ($49 a month) runs up to 10 X accounts from one login and one API key.
Is Premium Business worth it?
Buy it for what it is: identity and reach for an organization. The gold checkmark and impersonation defense matter if people copy your brand, affiliations matter if you want staff and sub-brands linked to you, and the ad credit can cover the cost of Basic while X offers it. Hiring is useful if you recruit on X and use Greenhouse, which syncs your jobs to X's job board.
Do not buy it to automate posting or schedule content. It has none of that beyond manual scheduling in X Pro. If what you need is a steady flow of posts, a posting tool starts at $19.99 a month and works with or without a gold checkmark.

Frequently asked questions
Does X Premium Business include X API access?
No. X's Premium Business help page lists a gold checkmark, affiliations, priority support, X Premium+, Hiring, Radar, impersonation defense, elevated in-app limits and ad credits. It does not mention the X API, API credits or a developer account anywhere. The X API is a separate pay-per-use product: about $0.015 per post and $0.20 per post with a link, billed to your developer account.
How much is X Premium Business?
Basic is $200 a month or $2,000 a year. Full Access is $1,000 a month or $10,000 a year, plus $50 a month ($600 a year) for each additional affiliate in the US. Prices are before tax and vary by region, per X's help page. Only organizations qualify: personal accounts are not allowed, and X does not refund personal accounts that sign up.
What is the difference between Basic and Full Access?
Full Access adds affiliations (badges for your employees, brands and support handles, with a tab listing them on your profile), VIP support, Radar Pro instead of Radar Basic, the option to acquire handles, and a larger limited-time ad credit: $1,000 a month or $12,000 a year, against $200 a month or $2,500 a year on Basic. Both include the gold checkmark, Premium+ and Hiring.
Can I schedule posts with X Premium Business?
Only by hand. Premium Business includes all X Premium+ benefits, and X Pro (the old TweetDeck) has been a Premium+ feature since March 26, 2026, so you can schedule single posts and threads in X Pro on desktop. X's Premium Business page does not list X Pro by name. There is no queue, no bulk upload, no evergreen recycling and no way to post from your own software.
What are the "elevated post, DM and media upload limits"?
Higher caps on how much the organization and its affiliates can post, message and upload on X itself, which X suggests for live-posting events and customer support. X does not say they change X API billing or limits, and the API is still charged per request.
Do affiliate accounts get API access?
No. Affiliates get a checkmark, the affiliate badge and Premium+ benefits. Each affiliate is a separate X account, so automating them needs a tool that handles several accounts, or one developer app with separate tokens for each.
Is Premium Business part of The X Subscription?
No. The X Subscription (Free, Plus, Premium, Super, Ultra), launched October 12, 2026, is for personal accounts, and X says organization-managed accounts cannot be linked to it. Premium Business is still the plan for organizations. We found no announced price change to Premium Business as of November 3, 2026.
What does Hiring in Premium Business do?
It puts your open jobs on X's job board and on your profile, and adds job advertising. Greenhouse can sync jobs to it: it sends a new job to X within 3 to 4 hours, and X can take up to 48 hours to show it. Posting each new job to your followers' timelines is a different thing, and any account can do that with a job bot.
