Hypefury Alternatives for X in 2026: 6 Tools Compared After Hypefury Dropped X

Short answer: Hypefury no longer posts to X. If you want its X habits back (auto-retweet, auto-plug, an evergreen queue), the closest matches are OpenTweet ($19.99/mo) and Typefully (from $10/mo). Tweet Hunter ($29 to $49/mo) fits if you want an inspiration library and CRM. Buffer ($5 per channel) fits if you only need plain scheduling across many networks.

Hypefury's pricing FAQ now asks "Does Hypefury still support X/Twitter?" and answers: "Nope! Hypefury no longer supports X." Its channels are Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. X was still listed in May 2026 and gone by July 12, with no announcement. Many people found out only when queued posts stopped going out.

All prices below come from each vendor's pricing page as of October 15, 2026.

The comparison at a glance

"Not listed" means the vendor's pricing page doesn't mention it. It may exist, so check before you commit.

What you actually lose with Hypefury on X

Most people didn't pay Hypefury for scheduling, since every tool does that. They paid for three behaviors:

  1. Auto-retweet. Reposting your own post a few hours later so other time zones see it.
  2. Auto-plug. Once a post takes off, replying under it with your newsletter, product or offer.
  3. Evergreen recycling. Reposting your proven posts on a loop so the queue never runs dry.

Judge each alternative by how many of those three it keeps. Long feature lists matter less.

1. OpenTweet: all three Hypefury habits, flat price

Price: Pro $19.99/mo (1 X account, plus 1 Bluesky and 1 LinkedIn account), Advanced $29/mo (3 X accounts), Agency $49/mo (10 X accounts). 7-day free trial.

OpenTweet is X-first and covers every Hypefury habit:

  • Auto-retweet per post, 60 minutes by default, or 2, 4, 8 or 24 hours.
  • Auto-plug fires a follow-up reply once a post crosses an engagement threshold you choose (20 by default). Set a default plug once in settings and only the posts that take off get it.
  • Evergreen queue recycles your best posts on a schedule, with guards so a post isn't reposted on top of itself.

It also does things Hypefury never did on X. It has a REST API (POST /api/v1/posts), a hosted MCP server so Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can draft and schedule for you, X Articles scheduling, and an AI writer that learns your voice from your own posts.

The catch: Link posts are capped by plan, because X charges $0.20 for every post with a URL. Pro includes 1 link post a day, Advanced 10 and Agency 20. If your plug carries a link and fires often, look at Advanced.

Best for: Hypefury users who mostly posted to X and want the same automation without paying per channel.

2. Typefully: the closest writing experience

Price: Free (15 posts, no AI), Pro $10/mo ($8 billed yearly), Business $20/mo, per social set.

Typefully has a clean editor with excellent thread previews, plus auto-retweet and auto-plug. Its auto-retweet cleans up the repost after 24 hours, which some people like. It has no evergreen queue, so if recycling was half of your Hypefury value, that part is gone.

Best for: Writers who care most about drafting threads and want the cheapest paid entry point.

3. Tweet Hunter: inspiration and CRM, at a higher price

Price: Discover $29/mo, Grow $49/mo (adds the AI writer and CRM), Enterprise $199/mo.

Tweet Hunter is X-only and built around a large library of viral posts to study and rewrite. It also has a CRM for tracking the accounts you engage with. It has the automation you'd expect, but the AI writer needs Grow, which costs more than twice a Hypefury Full plan.

Best for: People who used Hypefury mainly for inspiration and want a lead-generation workflow on X.

4. SuperX: built for volume and DMs

Price: Pro $49/mo (500 posts a month, 5 X accounts), Advanced $49/mo at launch price (normally $99), Ultra $199/mo.

SuperX is built around volume. It includes auto-DMs (1,000 a month on Pro), a "Signal Agent" for lead finding, X Articles publishing and API/CLI/MCP access. Its pricing page doesn't mention auto-retweet or auto-plug, so confirm before you migrate a plug-heavy workflow.

Best for: Teams running several X accounts who want outbound DM automation.

5. Buffer: cheapest if you just need scheduling

Price: Free (3 channels, 10 scheduled posts each), Essentials $5 per channel per month, Team $10 per channel.

Buffer supports X and almost every other network, and per-channel pricing is cheap at small scale. Buffer is a scheduler, though, not a growth tool. It has no auto-retweet, no auto-plug and no evergreen recycling. You get the calendar from Hypefury and none of the automation.

Best for: People who post the same thing to many networks and never used Hypefury's growth features.

6. Eden: multi-network with creator research

Price: Free tier. Paid plan prices differ between Eden's pricing page and its own structured data, so check checkout before you buy.

Eden covers X along with LinkedIn, Threads, Instagram, TikTok, Substack and YouTube, built around a find, write and schedule loop with a library of analyzed creators. Its pricing page doesn't list auto-retweet, auto-plug or evergreen for X.

Best for: Creators who publish on many networks and want research and writing in the same place.

Should you keep Hypefury at all?

Hypefury is still a decent tool. It just stopped covering X. If you also post to Threads, Instagram or TikTok, keeping Hypefury for those ($6 per channel, $19 for all) and adding an X-native tool is a sensible split. If your other networks are Bluesky and LinkedIn, OpenTweet posts to both from the same draft, so you can cancel Hypefury entirely.

How to move your queue in 20 minutes

There is no direct import from Hypefury into any tool on this list, so treat it as a copy-and-paste rebuild:

  1. Export before you cancel. Copy your evergreen set and any drafts out of Hypefury. The evergreen set matters most because you already know those posts perform.
  2. Recreate your plug. Write your plug reply once and set it as the default with your old threshold. In OpenTweet that's in Settings, applied automatically to every new post.
  3. Turn on auto-retweet for the posts that need it, at the same delay you used before.
  4. Bulk-schedule the backlog. Paste your drafts into the calendar, or push them through the API in batches of up to 50. See how to bulk schedule tweets.
  5. Load the evergreen queue with the set you exported and let it fill the gaps.

The short version

Hypefury left X. If you want auto-retweet, auto-plug and evergreen recycling on X at a flat price, OpenTweet keeps all three for $19.99 a month. Typefully keeps two of them for less, Tweet Hunter keeps them for more, and Buffer is a cheaper scheduler without the growth features.
