OpenTweet Connectors: Automated Tweet Sources

OpenTweet connectors are automated pipelines that watch external data sources and post tweets when something new happens. Set them up once and they run forever in the background without any manual effort.
OpenTweet supports five connector types: RSS feed connector, GitHub connector, Stripe connector, SaaS connector, and API/webhook connector. These connectors run automatically on a schedule and do not require Zapier or any third-party automation tools.
What connector types are available?
- RSS Connector — Monitors any RSS or Atom feed (blogs, podcasts, YouTube, newsletters) and tweets when new items appear.
- GitHub Connector — Watches repositories for new releases, star milestones, and fork milestones, then generates release announcement tweets.
- Stripe Connector — Monitors Stripe revenue, MRR, and customer counts, posting milestone celebrations and new sale announcements automatically.
- SaaS Connector — Analyzes your product's landing page and generates one unique daily tweet about your SaaS from a rotating set of content angles.
- API / Webhook Connector — Accepts incoming POST requests from any application or automation tool, creating tweets from the payload data.
How do connectors work?
Each connector runs on a configurable schedule. For RSS and GitHub, the connector polls the source at regular intervals and detects new items by comparing IDs or timestamps. For Stripe, it checks metric values. For SaaS, it generates content on a daily cadence from stored analysis. API connectors are event-driven — they post immediately when a webhook payload arrives.
How does AI generate connector content?
When a connector fires, OpenTweet's AI receives the raw data (blog post title, GitHub release notes, Stripe revenue figure, SaaS page analysis) and generates an engaging tweet. The AI respects your Content Pillars and Voice Learning profile, so connector tweets match your brand voice. You can also define custom templates to bypass AI and use a fixed format instead.
What are the connector plan limits?
Pro plans support up to 5 connectors total across all types. Advanced and Agency plans support unlimited connectors. On Pro, each connector (whether RSS, GitHub, Stripe, SaaS, or API) counts toward the 5-connector cap. On Advanced and Agency, you can create as many connectors as needed with no limit.
