How to get started with OpenTweet

Getting started with OpenTweet takes less than 5 minutes. Sign up, connect your X account, and schedule your first tweet — all from a single dashboard.

Step 1: Create your account

Go to opentweet.io and click "Start Free Trial." Sign up using your email address or your existing Google account. Every new account gets a 7-day free trial with full access to all features.

Step 2: Connect your X account

After signing up, OpenTweet will prompt you to connect your X (Twitter) account via OAuth. Click "Connect X Account," authorize OpenTweet in the X popup, and you're linked. OpenTweet uses official X API OAuth tokens — your password is never stored.

Step 3: Create your first tweet

From the dashboard, type your tweet in the composer at the top of the page, or open AI Studio to generate one with AI. You can write a single tweet or create a thread by adding more tweets to the chain.

Step 4: Schedule or publish

Choose a date and time for your tweet, or click "Post Now" to publish immediately. Scheduled tweets appear on your visual calendar where you can drag and drop them to different time slots.

Step 5: Explore more features

Once you've scheduled your first tweet, explore the sidebar to discover Connectors (automated posting), the Evergreen Queue (content recycling), Inspiration (viral tweet research), and the Chrome Extension for saving tweets while browsing X.

Tips for new users

• Set up Content Pillars in Settings to help the AI generate tweets that match your topics.
• Enable Voice Learning after you've posted at least 10 tweets — the AI will learn your writing style.
• Install the Chrome Extension to save tweets for inspiration as you browse X.
