X Earnings CalculatorOriginal Content Rewards, 2026 rules
X replaced Creator Revenue Sharing with Original Content Rewards. The final revenue sharing payout is September 7, 2026, and enrollment opens September 8. You need active Premium, Premium+ or Premium Business, age 18 or over, 500 verified followers, and 500,000 verified Home Timeline impressions in the prior 90 days, replies excluded. Payouts run biweekly through Stripe and X Money.
The old 5 million impression, ads-in-replies math is dead. This page runs the new numbers. Need only the pass or fail? Use the Original Content Rewards eligibility checker.

Original posts only. Exclude replies. Gate: 500,000
Only these impressions pay. X does not publish this share, so it is your assumption. 20% is the default here.

What changed from Creator Revenue Sharing
The threshold dropped by a factor of ten, from 5,000,000 to 500,000, but the impressions now have to be verified, on the Home Timeline, on original posts, with the post at least 50 percent visible. A large share of the old 5,000,000 came from replies, which no longer count at all.
What disqualifies you
Reposted or reproduced content
Content you did not make does not qualify. That covers reposts, reuploads, and posts reproduced from somewhere else. The impressions still show in analytics, they just do not pay.
Engagement solicitation, three strikes
Asking for likes, reposts, replies or follows to inflate reach. Do it three or more times and you are removed from the program and referred for a policy violation. Not a warning, a removal.
Reply-heavy accounts
Replies are excluded from the 500,000 threshold. If your reach came from replying under big accounts, that traffic no longer counts toward eligibility.
A lapsed Premium subscription
Premium has to be active. A cancelled or expired Premium, Premium+ or Premium Business subscription takes you out of the program regardless of your impressions.
500,000 impressions in 90 days is a posting problem
That is about 5,556 verified impressions a day, every day, on original posts. The accounts that clear it post original content on a schedule instead of in bursts. OpenTweet writes and queues the posts, so the 90 day window never has a dead week in it.

Frequently asked questions
What replaced X Creator Revenue Sharing?
Original Content Rewards. X is retiring the ads revenue sharing program that paid on ads in your replies. The final revenue sharing payout is September 7, 2026, and enrollment for Original Content Rewards opens September 8, 2026. The new program pays on verified Home Timeline impressions of your original posts instead of on reply ads.
What are the eligibility requirements for X Original Content Rewards?
An active Premium, Premium+, or Premium Business subscription, an account holder aged 18 or over, at least 500 verified followers, and at least 500,000 verified Home Timeline impressions in the prior 90 days. Replies do not count toward that 500,000. The old 5 million impression threshold no longer applies.
How often does X pay Original Content Rewards?
Biweekly, so roughly every 14 days, against qualified impressions accumulated in that period. Payouts run through Stripe and through X Money. Stripe remains a supported payout rail, so you do not have to move to X Money to get paid.
Which impressions count toward the 500,000 threshold?
Verified Home Timeline impressions on your original posts, from paying Premium users, with the post at least 50 percent visible on screen. Impressions on replies are excluded. Impressions from non paying accounts do not count as qualified impressions for payout.
How much does X pay per 1,000 impressions under Original Content Rewards?
X does not publish a rate. This calculator models three scenarios, $0.20, $0.50, and $1.20 per 1,000 qualified impressions, and lets you enter your own rate. Treat the output as a range, not a quote. The eligibility gates in this tool are exact, the payout rate is the part that is modeled.
Does reposted content count for Original Content Rewards?
No. Reposted or reproduced content does not qualify, which is the point of the word original in the program name. Repeatedly soliciting engagement, three or more times, gets you removed from the program and referred for a policy violation.
